With the commitment and focus of an involved partner, Roy Flemming offers rich insights to business owners and fellow entrepreneurs. In his role as a Business Consultant, Roy helps clients tackle issues such as sales growth, financial planning, profitability, leadership and succession planning.
As a serial entrepreneur, Roy’s most recent business venture was an upscale casual Vancouver restaurant launched in 2013. While serving locally acclaimed brunches and offering a bronze-awarded wine list, Roy grew the business from $750K to $2.5M in the first three years.. In 2016 Roy worked to remove himself from daily operations at the restaurant and opened his own consulting firm, helping small businesses navigate the ever-changing landscape of business. And in 2019, he joined the team at Cultivate Advisors, where he’s won several awards for retention, brand promoter and average client growth.
Now, he translates his own experience to others, helping them “absorb the punches”, stay flexible, and leave their options open. Roy reminds his clients: “There’s no such thing as a bad idea – focus on the best idea for right now.” He helped one of his clients, propel their business from $1M in 2020 to doubling their footprint. This year, they are on track to hit $2.5M. On average, his client growth averaged 15-25% – even through the pandemic.
Roy values culture and enjoys learning from other talented team members.. A team player, he shares his time and skills willingly with colleagues and clients. When he’s not working, Roy likes to cook, hike, travel, and occasionally enjoy an awesomely rare bottle of wine.
